So two and a half weeks of mayhem and how did it all fare? Just scraped through. Many sleep deprived nights coupled with lack of responsibility has been the cause of most of the frustrations. And it doesn't quite end there. In attempt to get all my assignments in before 9:30am on Monday, I was really pushing the envelope quite a fair bit by trying to send it at 6 am. Guess what? Murphy decided to pay me a visit. The RMIT servers were not responding for a good half an hour. Given my sleep deprived state, I decided to get some shut-eye and try and wake up at 7 to try sending the assignments again. Operative word here is try. I ended up waking up at 11 am and doom and gloom just flooded me. If the lecturers were really strict about late assignments coming in at the end of the semester, they can just refuse to mark the assignment. Very painful when the assignments I sent in were 30-35%. I'm still very jittery about it and hopefully my mistake doesn't kill me later.
On a different note, I've been listening to this piece from a Malaysian jazz quartet (with the exception of the drummer). Thought it was a cool concept and *finally* a local jazz band that I like.
Without much to say over here except for the countless tabs of news opened, I'm just going to dump it all here now:
Masterchef seems to be rewriting the text book on television advertising
It seems that I've been doing it wrong as far as relationships goes, according to this. Speaking of which, apparently birth order is a compatibility factor. Interesting.
If we can't afford the Grange at the end of the year, at the very least we could have a $160 bottle beer
This is going to sound a lot like the beginnings of the Borg
Apparently fried rice in Penang is said to be one of the top 10 iconic meals according to Lonely Planet. How come my parents never bring me out for fried rice?
Some people don't like Masterchef for the drama especially the older generations. That said, I quite like the last line of the article on it.
We are getting ever closer to making a true quantum computer so that we can shrink computers down even more and be able to waste time more.
So generous of the hotel, and they are one happy couple.
This cannot end well for the education.
IBM security fail.
Some interesting statistics on divorce, in particular the last point.
Hey, it matters for our existence.
I wonder, why didn't he say anything when he was doing these films? Or even accepted the role in the first place? And why talk about it now long after the film has been shown.
TMI Kate. TMI.
After a great deal of thinking and listening, I somewhat agree to what this guy has to say. Kenny G is not really a jazz player.
